Dornoch Cathedral Dornoch Cathedral in the East Sutherland Village of Dornoch. Taken from the South, on a sunny Sunday morning.

The golden sands of Dornoch Beach stretch into the distance. This was taken at 6.30am on an Easter Morning.

Loch Fleet, Nr Golspie, Sutherland Looking West across Loch Fleet. This photographic location is a nature reserve, just 4 miles South of Golspie, or 6 miles north of Dornoch. Seals, and a wide range of birds and wildlife can be found in the surrounding areas.

Dunrobin Castle, Golspie Dunrobin Castle, sited half a mile north of Golspie. This photo is taken from the shore walk in the Autumn. Today, the trees in the garden have been taken down offering a clear view of the Castle.

Big Burn walk. This very pleasant walk, just on the outskirts of the village of Golspie, meanders through the trees and across footbridges to end at a waterfall. Visit it after a night of torrential rain and the effect is stunning.

Brora Harbour, Sutherland The fishing harbour of Brora, used mostly for crab and lobster fishing nowadays. Taken around 7.00am in the morning, the gulls are waiting for any scraps that may come their way!

Helmsdale Harbour. In the tranquil waters of Helmsdale Harbour the ‘Puffin’ waits for its owner to take it on its adventures…

Loch Shin, Lairg, Sutherland Taken looking towards ‘The Pier’ restaurant in Lairg. The still waters of Loch Shin act as a mirror for the buildings around the edge.

Bonar Bridge, Sutherland. This is the third bridge that has been built here to allow traffic and people to get to and from Ardgay and other villages to the South. This is looking North West.

Oldshoremore Beach. A lovely sandy beach in the North West of Sutherland. Right off the beaten track. This photo was taken on a February morning around 11.00am.

Taken looking North West. I had this ready to take, then heard the noise, thought I would wait,and this was the result! This was not set up specially, just one case of being in the right place at the right time guess.

Deer at Allerdale Wilderness Reserve and Lodges, Sutherland
One of those rare moments that come along at the right moment! I was in my car having lunch and this deer was looking away from me, got camera and wound down the window of the car, deer turned around, took photo!
